In pics: YHAI Junagadh Unit’s wonderful job of volunteering on Republic Day

Junagadh: Visitors and tourists – mostly the domestic ones in disgusting behavior treated this step-well as if it was a dustbin. They threw bottles, plastic and all kind of garbage in the step-well shamelessly. Thankfully on the occasion of 68th Republic Day, Junagadh Unit of Youth Hostel Association of India(YHAI) Gujarat State Branch took an initiative under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan under which the medieval period stepwell at Uparkot fort in Junagadh was cleaned up entirely. The drive was well guided and organized by Gujarat State Chairman Sh.Rashmikant Chhipa and Gujarat State Secretary Sh.Anant Parmar in coordination with youth hostellers from Junagdh Unit, students of NSS Unit of Agriculture, Engineering and Technology. This wonderful effort of students was appreciated in the form of Certificates distribution. Team YHAI has thanked Collectorate Junagah Tourism, Archaeological Department and Municipal Corporation for extending their support for this initiative.
