February 09, 2017
Nadiad: Two persons died after suspected falling from running train between Mehmedabad and Gothaj railway stations in Kheda district of central Gujarat today.
Control room of Government Railway Police (GRP) at Nadiad said that the bodies of two persons, one seemingly of a mentally deranged male beggar aged around 50 years and another of a 40 years old man were found close to railway tracks from two different places between Mehmedabad and Kheda.
It was not yet clear whether they fell down from the same train or different trains. They have not yet been identified. However, it seems that they fell from train early morning. One of the bodies (not of the mentally deranged one) has injury mark over its head, the GRP said.
A sack containing garbage, like the one carried by many mentally deranged beggars, has been found close to a body whose appearance also resembled such persons.
The matter was being investigated. It was also being ascertained whether they had fallen accidentally or some body pushed them down.
