Ahmedabad: Rajkot police today held PAAS convener Brijesh Patel in Viramgam firing case. Viramgam police has left for Rajkot to take custody of Patel.

The police in home-town of PAAS convener Hardik Patel was investigating an alleged incident of firing by 7 conveners of his outfit in his presence during a marriage ceremony of his cousin in Chandranagar area of Viramgam town.

Police in Viramgam had received complaint from a local and relative of the PAAS convener about the incident. One Hardik Kartik Patel (known as Chhota Hardik) had handed over a video clip along with complaint claiming that 7 other conveners of Hardik’s outfit had opened fire in air in presence of Hardik in a marriage ceremony of a cousin sister of Hardik that took place in the night of February 2 this year in Chandranagar (the locality of Viramgam where Hardik also resides). Video of the incident had gone viral online and on local TV channels.

In the video clip Hardik is visible at the venue and some of the PAAS leaders are seen dancing with weapons in their hands. One convener of PAAS and aide of Hardik, identified as Hemang Patel resident of Rajkot, is seen firing two rounds in air from his gun,.

Notably, love for weapons of the PAAS leader is well-known as in one of his profile pictures in social media he had posed with a gun for which he also had to face criticism from various quarters.
