Let Rahul Gandhi set his own burning house (Congress) in order before dreaming of Gujarat: Amit Shah

Surat: BJP president Amit Shah today again urged party workers to uproot Congress in the coming assembly election in Gujarat and also took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi suggesting him to ‘first set his own burning house (party) in order’ before dreaming of forming government in Gujarat.

Addressing a massive rally of over one lakh workers mainly page pramukhs of 8 districts and Surat Mahanagar at Panchkakda-Anaval of Mahua Taluka, Shah said, ”Rahul Baba dreams of making government here (Gujarat). But brother, first take care of your own burning house (party) in which while one is calmed down, other two get angry.’

He said that after Narendra Modi become the PM in 2014, BJP won election after election. Congress was ousted from states like Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, J&K, Assam, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. Lastly in UP BJP has formed government with 3/4 th majority. But he wanted to make people remember that Congress had not got less time to rule. Apart from 2 to 3 years all the time was with Congress.

Claiming that he has not seen a massive gathering like this one which exceeded that of the earlier ones in Central Gujarat and Junagadh Page parmukh conferences, Shah quipped that the Guinness World records people who had issued certificate for the feat of making lotus with Mehandi on the hands of 51000 women by activists of women wing of BJP, would have issued another certificate for the massive gathering had they been here and dreams of Congress to form government in Gujarat would be shattered if a photo of this gathering was shown to them.

He alleged that Congress had put Gujarat and the whole of the country in such a poor state during its long rule in the past that it should never get a chance to rule again.

‘The electricity during congress rule was available only for few hours while Narendrabhai (as the then CM) made it available for 24 hours. Riots were the order of the day but during Modi regime no one dared to do riots and these have become a thing of past. Congress used to come to power with Aadivasi votes and I want to ask them what have they done for them during 50 years of rule. Modi government has started Vanvandhu Kalyan Yojana for them. Tribals have got the rights of 13 lakh acres of land. Vibrant Gujarat started by Modi is now a model for many states,’ he said adding that BJP government has made good roads, improved law and order and agriculture growth rate.

He also said that CM Vijay Rupani has so far taken over 350 people oriented decisions.

Taking a dig at Congress he said, ‘Congress day dreams of win in Gujarat. I don’t need to make a big strategy for BJP’s win. If this sea of page pramukhs present here alone push the button of the EVM’s, the party will form the government. But we have to decided that the election is not only about winning it or getting 150 seats but to uproot Congress completely. The poor plight of the state and the nation that Congress had done during its rule in the past, it deesn’t have any right to rule again.’

‘After coming back from vacation abroad, Rahul Baba asked us what BJP has done. The list is very long but the biggest thing we did was we provided a PM who speaks. Congress which has finished up the 12 lakh crores of money meant for poor, Aadivasi, women, Dalits and youths with scams is now asking us as to what BJP has done. Feel ashamed Rahul Gandhi for not giving any account for those 12 lakh crores and asking us to give account of our work. In last three years even the opposition could not level any allegation of corruption on us, we have given such an honest and working government,’ he said.

Shah said, ” 13 thousand villages were not having electricity, people did not have bank accounts that was how Congress used to run government. All these works have been completed by Modi government.”

He also reiterated that earlier when PM Manmohan Singh used to go abroad no body noticed it but Modi was welcomed by thousands and as a leader of 125 crore Indians he had taken India’s name to greater heights. He also said that PM Modi expedited the Narmada Project. He has made gas cylinders available for 2 crore poor families.

He said that when Modi was CM of Gujarat, BJP had won 128 seats. ‘Now when he is PM how many seats BJP must win. BJP workers are invincible in Gujarat as the party has not lost any election in the state since 1990. Now assembly elections are to be held in 2017 (this year) in Gujarat and the victory chariot of Narendra Modi would arrive here in November. This time we must win to give such a deadly blow to Congress that it never ever dreams of winning here,’ he said.

Over 5000 party workers of the youth wing had made a symbol of 150+ at the venue to welcome Shah and show their dedication towards the goal of winning over 150 seats in the 182 member assembly set by him for win in this year’s polls.
