Congress can even join hands with naxals/terrorists to win Gujarat polls, Alpesh has made entry with a deal – Nitin Patel

Gandhinagar:
Reiterating his allegation that Congress can even join hands with naxals/Pakistan based dreaded terrorists if they become assured that by doing so they can win Gujarat assembly polls, senior BJP leader and DyCM Nitin Patel today said that the party was doing deal after deal to let anybody join it which could lead to such a situation that its original cadres won’t get even a single ticket.
Talking to newsmen here after making a slew of pro-people announcements including 50% hike in Asha workers salary and subsidy to end the burden of GST on sprinklers used by farmers for drip irrigation along with regularization of contract teachers, Patel said, ‘Those (Alpesh Thakor and others) who joined Congress yesterday had a deal regarding seats. The party ignoring its original workers was readily agreeing to give seats to new entrants.’
‘The party was also said to have been in talks with SP, NCP etc for seat sharing. Somebody is seeking 20 seats, some other is asking for 10 or 5 seats. This way the party would end up in a situation which can be understood with the famous dialogue of film Sholay ‘Aadhe Idhar Jao, Aadhe Udhar Jao aur baki mere saath aao’ (Half of you go this way, the other half go that way and remaining (infact none) come with me)’
‘There won’t be any seat left for the original Congress people owing to these deals with new entrants,’ he said.
Patel said that Congress had in the past supported those uttering long-live Pakistan in JNU and those involved in terror activities. ‘Their leader Rahul Gandhi had also visited JNU to express solidarity with such people. Now if Congress becomes assured that by joining hands with hardcore naxals or Pakistan based dreaded terrorists they could win Gujarat election they won’t hesitate in doing so.
To a query he said that Congress was a very weak party while BJP was the strongest party in the country and Gujarat with around one crore workers in the state alone.
He also challenged Rahul to take a team of media from Gujarat to Amethi and Raibareli to compare the development of those long time constituencies of Gandhi family with any of the constituency of Gujarat.
