SMC likely to launch S Money card in a month

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) is likely to launch S-money card in a month or so. The work order for S Money Card has been assigned to private sector bank ICICI. SMC had earlier launched S Connect card for payments related to SMC services. The S Money card will be extension of S Connect card. It will be useful for making any payment and not just SMC payments. The city will have point of sale(POS) at ever 500 meter distance for usage of S Money card. The card data will be red by POS with simple touch. The card is divided in tw categories – personalized and generalized. Under personalized system, the card will be used by only individual while through generalized category card, more than one person will be able to make payment. The card will have facility of automatic filling of money through linked bank account.
