Muslim tea stall owner becomes president of Kodinar municipality

Kodinar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has chosen a Muslim tea stall owner as president of Kodinar municipality.

Fatimaben Juneja is wife of Rafiqbhai Juneja who started his journey with a tea stall in Una zampa area of Kodinar.

After Juneja’s election as member of municipality for five terms, the BJP decided to make Fatimaben a new president of Kodinar municipality.

Soon after her election as president of municipality, Fatimaben with her husband Rafiqbhai went to their tea stall which is presently managed by their niece, and threw tea party.

However, it is believed that Fatimaben will remain only as rubber stamp while real power will be with Shivabhai, the vice president of municipality, who had been earlier the president of Kodinar municipality.
