Surat:

A coach of 59038 Surat – Virar Passenger train damaged due to fire in Udhana railway yard here.

A railway official said that smoke was noticed in a coach of the train while it was in the yard. Fire fighters were called who somehow doused the fire but on coach was badly damaged in the fire. No casualty happened as the train was completely empty at the time of the fire.

He said that the reason behind the incident was not yet known. It was being probed.

The train runs between Surat and Mumbai suburb Virar on daily with all unreserved coaches.
