Rajkot: In response to Rajkot Lok Sabha member Mohanbhai Kundadia’s request, Railway Minister Piyush Gyoal has agreed to extend Mumbai – Ahmedabad Duronto train 12267/12268 to Rajkot. Once implemented, this decision will avail non-stop rail journey between Rajkot and Ahmedabad and further on to Mumbai. As of now, it is not known, when this decision will be implemented.

Kundaria in his social media post attached Railway Minister Piyush Goyal’s letter and stated, ‘I am happy to inform to the citizens of Saurashtra including Rajkot that Hon. Minister of Railways has conveyed through the letter dated 14.05.2018 that Indian Railways have considered the extension of operation of train no. 12267 / 12268 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Duronto Express upto Rajkot. The operation would be enabled in due course.’
