DyCM, BJP MP hit out at selfstyle Adivasi outfit for opposing the statue of unity project

Rajpipala/Gandhinagar: Hitting out strongly against self styled local tribal leader of central Gujarat Praful Vasava who is opposing the statue of unity project, Deputy CM Nitin Patel today said that those talking about opposing the project were of separatist mentality.

Talking to newsmen Patel said that those who were taking about opposing the noble thing were of separatist mentality. They have no following and say that tribal people should be separated from Gujarat. It is all politically motivated and without any support from local tribals who knew that the project would bring prosperity to them and the whole area.

Another senior tribal leader of BJP and its five time MP from Bharuch Mansukh Vasava termed Praful Vasava’s staments as totally absurd.

“They are the irresponsible people who were neither in power now and would never come in power,’ he said.

Notably, Praful Vasava who was a former aide of Bhartiya Tribal Party leader and MLA Chhotu Vasava and also a leader of Bhilitstan Tiger Sena, an outfit that seeks separate place for tribals, is openly opposing the project and has said that on the day of its inaguration by PM Narendra Modi (October 31), the tribal people in the area would remain on fast and won’t even lit their stoves.

Many see it as a cheap publicity stunt of him.
