AAI approves proposal for construction of third terminal of Sardar Patel airport

Ahmedabad: Rs 1,300 crore proposal for 80,000 square metres third terminal of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport has ben approved by Airport Authority of India(AAI). It will come up next to the present domestic terminal – 1. According to Airport Director, the foundation stone for new terminal will be laid early next year. The number of domestic passengers travelling to and from this airport is doubling every three years which has necessitated expansion of airport infrastructure.
