Bullet train project: Updates from Bharuch district

Bharuch: Mumbai – Ahmedabad high speed rail project (bullet train project) will need 21.41 lakh square meter land in Bharuch district across 28 villages. In first phase, measurements for land acquisition are completed in 13 affected villages. Same procedure is near completion in another 15 villages. District adiministration is sharing details of compensation to be paid to farmers. Bharuch district will see 53 km track of bullet train which will be positioned over 15-20 meter height 1060 ‘Y’ shape pillars, for which minimum required land will be acquired. Main infrastructure in district will see expenditure of Rs. 319.85 crore. Station will come up over 75,743 square meter area at a cost of Rs. 65.50 crore. A 1400 meter bridge will be constructed over river Narmada with 110 meter spas and 55 meter girders. District adiministration is aiming to complete land acquisition in 28 villages by the end of the month of March next year.
