Gujarat dominates SME platform of NSE, around 40% of listed companies from western state and neighbouring MP

Ahmedabad: Almost 40% of the companies listed on the SME platform of the National Stcok Exchange (NSE- Emerge) are from Gujarat and neighbouring Madhya Pradesh.

Around 15% of the more than 1500 companies on the NSE main board were also from Gujarat.

The SME platforms of both NSE and BSE combined are the fastest growing such platform in the world.

Vice President-Business Development of NSE Ashish Goyal informed today.

Talking to newsmen here on the sidelines of the migration ceremony of Gujarat based IT services provider company Airan Ltd from SME platform to the main board today Goyal said that there were around 197 companies listed on the SME platform of NSE of which over 75 were from Gujarat including a few from neighbouring Madhya Pradesh.

He also said that so far a total of 10 companies have migrated to the NSE main board from SME platform. Of these around one fourth were from Gujarat.
