At least 7 dead, over 20 injured in accident involving 3 vehicles including ST bus on national highway in Tapi district

Tapi: At least 7 people died and over 20 others injured when a Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) bus popularly referred to as ST bus collided with a speeding tanker and another four wheeler on national highway near Pokharan village under Songadh police station in Tapi district of Gujarat today.

PI of Songadh C K Chaudhary said that the ST bus was coming towards Ukai in Tapi district from Surat district. It collided with a tanker head on while another jeep like cruiser four wheeler was also jumbled in to it.

He said that so far 7 dead bodies have been recovered and around 20 to 25 injured have been sent to hospitals.

The PI did not rule out the possibility of rise in the death toll.
