63 Covid19 cases in Gujarat, highest in Amdavad; death toll up at 5

The total number of confirmed Covid19 cases in Gujarat is now 63.

Surat MLA Harsh Sanghvi reports that one female patient of Covid19 has been discharged from local hospital. This lady was among the first two Covid19 confirmed positive cases.

Morning update

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has now total 58 confirmed Covid19 cases. Since last evening bulletin of State health department, there has been increase of 3 new cases, informed Principal Secretary of Health department, Dr. Jayanti Ravi to media persons here.

A new case of a 47-year old male was confirmed in Ahmedabad. The person unfortunately died today. He had comorbid condition of diabetes.

A 67-year old woman was also fund positive. She is infected by local transmission.

A 34-year old male in Ahmedabad has also been found positive. He has recent history of travel to Mumbai.

The total death toll in Gujarat is 5 now.

Three persons in Vadodara have recovered from Covid19. They are however kept in isolation for 14 days as per protocol.

There are total 19,661 persons under quarantine in Gujarat.
