SMC to permit home-isolation in eligible Covid19 positive cases from tomorrow

Surat: Surat Municipal Commissioner today in his online briefing said, from today onward, asymptomatic Covid19 positive patients who have separate room and toilet facility at home will be allowed to stay at home and recover.
Such patients who chose for home isolation must use mask and follow social distancing norms.
A medical officer will be linked to each persons in home isolation.
Each zone of city will have a dedicated ambulance stand by to carry a patient in home isolation to hospital if need arise.
Home isolation will not be possible in slum and slum-like areas. Covid Care Centre at Samras hostel will continue to serve such patients.
This decision has been taken after guideline for the same arrived from the Centre.
