26 employees of Cadila Pharmaceuticals plant in Dholka detected Covid19 positive

Dholka: As many as 26 employees of Dholka manufacturing facility of Cadila Pharmaceuticals have been detected Covid19 positive. The plant located at Trasad road of Dholka near Ahmedabad has been shut down.

The company in its statement said: Cadila Pharmaceuticals has been at the forefront of producing high-quality affordable medicines. The company has always put the wellbeing and safety of its all stakeholders – employees, medical professionals, vendors and partners.

Recently, 26 of our employees from our Dholka manufacturing facility tested positive for Covid-19. Following this, we have closed our operations on our own, and are undertaking deep sanitization of the plant and its surroundings. We take this opportunity to reiterate that the safety, health, and well-being of our employees are of paramount importance to us.

We are cooperating with the local administration at all levels to ensure the safety and security of our facility and surroundings.

Being an essential industry, we remain committed to restore normalcy at the plant in consultation with authorities at the earliest.
