Bumrah posted two photographs of his wedding (that are attached with this article) and tweeted:

“Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.”

Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you.

Soon well wishes started flowing for newly wedded couple. Former Vice President of Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) Parimal Nathwani, who has seen Bumrah’s Cricket career closely from very beginning, tweeted congratulations and conveyed his love and blessings for both.

According to reports, the wedding happened in Goa on March 14 in presence of 20 odd guests. Bumrah opted out of the fourth and final Test and the ongoing T20I series against England, apparently due to his wedding plans. The right-arm fast bowler had sought permission from the Indian cricket board (BCCI) to withdraw, which was granted.

Bumrah was born and brought up in Ahmedabad. He and his sister were raised by their mother after the death of their father. Bumrah’s mother was the vice-principal of Nirman Public School of Ahmedabad where the fast bowler studied and first took up cricket under the coaching of Kishore Trivedi.
