Covid cases as per our estimate will continue to rise for a week and then go down: Rupani
March 25, 2021
Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister today said that though pandemic spread is greater across the country, the rate of fatality is very low and in control. The Government is moving ahead on testing, tracing and treatment. Yesterday average 70,000 tests were conducted and we are not lowering that number. We are also declaring containment zones. 70 per cent beds are vacant at present. We are operating doorstep treatment through 104 service, Dhanvantari and Sanjivani Raths. Four metro cities have major presence of cases. This is a cycle. The cases will continue to rise daily for a week from now as per our estimate and then will go down. However Corona is unpredictable. The government is alert and it will take all required decisions. There’s no need to panic but alert has to be maintained. We have decided to do 3 lakh vaccination per day. We have reached upto 2.25 lakh per day already.
