One held for making Yashraj Mukhate type spoof video of Chief Minister Rupani

Vadodara: City police’s crime branch on Thursday nabbed one Pradip Bholanath Kahar whose Facebook id is ‘Dj Adee‘ and Instagram id is ‘@djadeeofficial’.

According a a press release circulated by city police crime branch, an accused has been held for using some portions of honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat State’s original speech to make fake electronic document, post it on social media and making viral it in an act of defamation with intention to harm Chief Minister’s position and prestige.

Kahar was held over this allegation and the procedure of his arrest was underway after Covid19 test, said crime branch in a press release.

Kahar is a resident of Kahar Maholla, Kaka Saheb no tekro, Dandiya bajaar.

Police has seized one mobile phone in Kahar’s possession.

Kahar, apparently influenced by Yashraj Mukhate, had posted a video clip in which portion of ‘We will rock you’ song has been mixed with a line spoken by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in a public meeting in Northern Gujarat’s Banaskantha district.

The Chief Minister had in this rally while speaking about potato crop produce in Banaskantha mistakenly said ‘fry frenchie’ instead of ‘French fries’. Kahar made a few seconds long clip mixing it with a portion of English song.

While some persons on social media platforms have made memes, videos, posts making fun of Chief Minister’s goof up, some other social media handles have posted content defending the Chief Minister.

Social media handle Positive_Paaji opines that when foreigners speak wrong Gujarati, they look cute and when some Gujarati speaks wrong English, people make fun of him ….. if we drink tea, we are downmarket and if you drink coffee, you become premium!

Harsh Yagnik, a person on Facebook has opined that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee doesn’t know Hindi or English properly but she is called proud Bengali while Rupani doesn’t know Hindi properly and he is being abused for that. This is double speak. If Rupani doesn’t know Hndi, then Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan Punjab, Haryana don’t know Gujarati. What a big deal!

However amidst these debates, Kahar has to see a police station and possibly lock up and court for making a remixed video clip.
