While only 17 per cent persons were vaccinated before the announcement, now the figure has gone up to 95 per cent among eligible persons in this village.

The pilot project was launched with the support of an NGO. The campaign was started with an aim of motivating the public residing in rural areas around Nal-Sarovar to get vaccinated. One litre cottonseed oil is being provided at free cost to those who take the vaccine. A goal is to vaccinate five thousand people during the first phase.
