Cleric, others booked in Surat for pandemic rules violation

Surat: Rander Police on Thursday registered a crime against over 100 people including Imam (cleric) of the masjid who all gathered at Al-Madina masjid for Namaz prayer on new Gorat road in Rander, Surat without masks and maintaining social distance in the morning of Bakra-Eid festival in violation of pandemic related rules.

Crime is filed against more than 100 people including Imam Maulana Nashirudin Ezazudin Khan under Epidemic Disease Act and violation of the notification of police-commissioner. Complaint is also registered against more than 100 people including Ayubali Mohammadali Saiyad, Mohammad Iqbal Yusufali Qureshi, Mohammad Usman Saiyad and Maksud Ismail Rajvani. DeshGujarat
