Dang district observes one day strike

The Dangs: All political parties have unanimously declared a one day strike in Dang today protesting the unnatural death of two tribal young men accused of theft in custody of Chikhli Police Station in neighboring Navsari district. The strike has evoked good response.
The families of two tribal men named Sunil Pawar and Ravi Jadhav have expressed several doubts about their claimed suicide in the custody. The families and the tribal community leaders are demanding not only suspension of responsible cops but also filing a crime against those responsible in police.
The strike was unanimously declared by BJP, Congress and other parties.
On Sunday, leaders including BJP MLA of Dang Vijay Patel, Congress MLA of Vansda Anand Patel, Congress MLA of Vyara Punaji Gamit and Congress MLA from Mandvi in Surat Anand Chaudhari had visited the house of deceased and consoled their families. DeshGujarat
