Surat: all members of six families to leave worldly life and choose monkhood

Surat: All members of six families will leave worldly life and accept monkhood in diksha ceremony in Surat.
Diksha mahurat assigning to them took place in presence of 400 Jain monks on the anniversary of Jain Acharya Jinchandrasurishwarji Maharaj today on Friday-27th August in Surat.
A Total 60 persons will take ‘diksha’. The date of diksha was given today on the last day of Jinsangam Utsav held at Adhyatmanagari in Dayalji Ashram at Majuragate, Surat. The 60 persons to accept monkhood include 27 men and 33 women ranging between the age of 7 to 70 years. There will be six full families taking ‘diksha’. They left their houses on permanent basis today after Mahurat of diksha was assigned to them.
Out of the total 60 persons that are going to accept the monkhood, 27 are from Surat, 25 are from Mumbai and rest are from Bhabhar, Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar Total 41 out of the 60 persons are less than 30 years of age. Those accepting monkhood include engineer, physiotherapist, Chartered Accountant, diamond merchants, students and more. DeshGujarat
