96 films shot in Gujarat during a year: Govt

Gandhinagar: The tourism minister informed in reply to a question asked by an MLA that total 119 films were shot in Gujarat in the last 2 years including 23 films shot during 1st September 2019 to 31st August 2020 and 96 films shot during 1st September 2020 to 21st August 2021 under film policy.
The shooting of these films in various languages such as Hindi, Gujarati and Telugu were done at various places including Ahmedabad, Kutch, Rajkot, Anand and Dwarka.
He informed that the film policy provided these benefits: 1. The publicity of the tourist destinations of Gujarat could be done. 2. Local artists and people associated with the work of shooting got work opportunities.
