Abandoned child was son of father’s extra marital live-in partner whom he had murdered: Police

Gandhinagar: A seven to eight month old male child was found out abandoned outside the Swaminarayan Gaushala in Pethapur area of Gandhinagar on October 8, following which, police had started search for his parents. Through CCTV footage of the area, a car owned by one Sachin Dixit, resident of sector 26 of Gandhinagar was traced and it was revealed that the child was son of Sachin and his extramarital live-in partner Hina. Police investigation further revealed that Sachin had choked Hina to death and dumped her dead body in a suitcase before dropping their child Shivansh outside a Gaushala of Swaminarayan sect in Pethapur.

Police investigation revealed that Sachin, originally from Uttar Pradesh was living with Hina in G-102 flat of Darshanam Oasis in Vadodara. He choked Hina to death as she was insisting Sachin to stay with her. However Sachin was unable to fulfill this demand as he was married to another woman Anuradha who is from Kota, Rajasthan.

Sachin was brought to Gandhinagar by Police for questioning regarding why he dumped Shivansh outside Gaushala and who was mother of Shivansh. It was revealed that Sachin was in love with Hina Pethani and they started living together in 2019. Both came into contact with each other when Hina was working in a show-room of Kohler company in Ahmedabad. Sachin had started working with Ozone company in Vadodara for last two months. Both Sachin and Hina were living in a flat in Bapod area of Vadodara.

Sachin would live with Hina during weekdays in Vadodara while in the weekends he would return to his Gandhinagar based residence to live with his parents and wife Anuradha.

Couple of days ago, Sachin told Hina about his plan to visit his native place in Uttar Pradesh with his parents. Reacting to this, Hina asked him to stay either with her or his family which caused a clash between both, following which, Sachin murdered her. He later packed her dead body in a suitcase and put it in the kitchen and left for Ahmedabad with a child Shivansh. He dumped Shivansh outside Gaushala and left for native place in Uttar Pradesh with his family members from Gandhinagar.

The child Shivansh has been kept at Shishu Gruh and his DNA sample has been taken. Sachin’s wife prima facie doesn’t know about his extra-marital affair, said Police. Accused Sachin has been booked already for abandoning his child but now will also be booked for murder of Hina Pethani. Sachin has no criminal history. Police said Sachin would go to Swaminarayan Gaushala in Pethapur for bringing milk and ghee and therefore he could have chosen that place to drop the child. Police said, Sachin might had thought that as it was dharmik place, the child would be taken care of.

Hina alias Mahendi was from Keshod. Her mother was no more and father had done second marriage. She was living with her masa-masi in Ghuma area of Ahmedabad. Her masa is cooperating with police. Police said, Sachin’s mental condition was not normal at present and therefore police is questioning him with ease. Police said, Sachin had pre-scheduled programme to visit Uttar Pradesh. DeshGujarat
