Natural farming boost for Dang on cards

Valsad: State Agriculture minister Raghavji Patel today in reply to a question said the Government of Gujarat is planning to name Dang district as natural farming district. A programme in this connection is being planned on November 19 in the presence of State Governor Acharya Devvrat during which this announcement could be made possibly, Raghavji Patel said, ading that 12,000 farmers across Dang will join natural farming. He said, these farmers anyway don’t use chemical fertilizers and insecticides. He aid the government has decided for per farmer per hectare Rs. 10,000 assistance in the limit of maximum 2 hectares.
