Dang in Gujarat to be declared natural farming district on November 19

Gandhinagar: Southern Gujarat district Dang will be declared as natural farming district on November 19.
In entire western India, for the first time, Dang district will be declared as natural farming district in presence of Governor of Gujarat. The announcement will be made in a function on November 19. I am delighted to say that in entire Dang district the farmers are adopting natural farming,’ the minister said.
He further said, ‘each farmer is being given incentive of Rs. 10,000 per hectare in 2 hectares limit by the state government in order to encourage them for natural farming practices. Dang is moving ahead in this direction and becoming a completely chemical fertilizer and chemical insecticide free district.
The minister said, the farmers in Dang conventionally do natural farming with least or no use of chemical fertilizer and insecticides. All the State government is doing is to incentivise and encourage it further. Announcement in this direction will be made by Governor on November 19. DeshGujarat
