Rape allegation against a Madrassa cleric in Silvassa

Valsad: A maulvi (Muslim cleric) allegedly raped a minor female studying at a Madrassa in Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli union territory.
The minor girl’s parents alleged at Silvassa police station that the maulvi of Madrssa raped their daughter. The victim girl had informed her parents about the rape by maulvi, they said.
The police undertook medical investigation and further actions in this case. SP Hareshvar Swami said that further statements about this case can be given after the arrival of the medical report. DeshGujarat
