Dutch companies delegation in Gujarat to attend Agri Asia 2021

Ahmedabad: A delegation of Dutch companies is in Gujarat to participate in 10th edition of Agri Asia 2021. The delegation led by Netherlands Ambassador, H.E. Mr Marten van den Berg Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, Nepal and Bhutan, comprises a diverse group of companies that represent the Dutch horticulture, floriculture, dairy, and processing industries. Agri Asia 2021 i.e. 10th International Exhibition and Conference on Agriculture Technologies will be held on December 9-11, 2021 at Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
“The Netherlands and India are strong partners in agriculture, this has been manifested in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and materialises in the establishment of Indo-Dutch centres of excellence. Being present at Agri Asia strengthens and further deepens our ties with Gujarat” said Mr Marten van den Berg.
“We aim to showcase and use technologies from the Netherlands to eventually use the expertise and tech to contribute to productivity, earning capacity and resilience of Indian farmers,” said Mr Amlan Bora, Commissioner (Trade & Investment), NBSO.
Highlighting the importance of Gujarat to the Netherlands, Mr Bora further said, “The oldest NBSOs amongst the 22 that are active across 11 countries is in Ahmedabad. The NBSOs strive to connect Dutch businesses and investments to opportunities in India.”
