Palanpur likely to get a bypass highway

Palanpur: Though there’s no official announcement, it is learnt that the minister of roads and building department Purnesh Modi has given in principle approval to construction of proposed 25-km bypass in Palanpur town of North Gujarat. Palanpur is district headquarters of Banaskantha and an important link to northward traffic to Rajasthan.
It is learnt that the amount of Rs 80 crore is likely to be allotted for land acquisition and Rs 300 crore for constructing road of bypass. The bypass will pass from Khemana on Abu highway, Nilki Chadotar, Badarpura, and Jagana on Ahmedabad highway. The leaders and locals had made demands for the construction of this bypass for resolving the traffic issue at aroma circle in Palanpur. DeshGujarat
