Kalupur railway station gets EV charging and parking facility

Ahmedabad: The facilities of electric vehicle charging points and parking stations were inaugurated today at Ahmedabad’s Kalupur railway station.
4 electric vehicles can be charged simultaneously through this electric vehicle charging and parking facility. One vehicle can be fully charged within one to one and half hours for Rs. 16 per unit charge through this facility.
The facility is launched in cooperation with a private company. The facility of renting the electric cars will be also available here eventually. The charges will range between Rs 12 to 16 per kilometer. Launch of electric rickshaw facility has also been planned in future. The bookings can be made from the website www.capital.in.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Sanjay Srivastava and Ahmedabad DRM (Divisional Railway Manager) Tarun Jain inaugurated these facilities. This is the first railway station to have these facilities in the Western Railway.
