Sakar Varsha ceremony held at Santram Mandir in Nadiad

Nadiad: The annual Sakar Varsha ceremony was held at Santram Mandir in Nadiad today on the occasion 191st Samadhi Mahotsav which falls on Maha Sud Punam as per the Gujarati Vikram Samvat calendar.
The samadhi mahotsav is celebrated at the Santram Mandir on Maha Sud Purnima every year as Santram maharaj had taken samadhi on this day. The maha aarti was performed at the samadhi sthan in the mandir today evening followed by Aum naad (chanting of Aum in group). The devotees, mahants and swayam sevaks then performed sakar varsha at the mandir.
A 3-day fair which is organised on this occasion every year has been dropped this year. It was dropped last year as well, due to the pandemic. In other ceremonies, the tilak darshan took place at 4.30 am, samadhi sthan puja at 5 am and jali mangal darshan at 5.45 am today. The Vishnu Sahastra Path is scheduled to be performed at 8.15 pm and bhajan competition at 9 pm. Over 250 bhajan mandal participated in the bhajan competition.
