PM Modi likely to address Panchayati Raj sammelan in Gujarat on March 11

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has organized a maha sammelan of over 1.5 lakh elected public representatives of Taluka, Zilla and Gram Panchayats in GMDC Ground Ahmedabad on Friday- 11th March in presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.
The function will be held under the title of ‘maru Gam, maru Gujarat’ on 11th March. The panchayat department has planned to arrange 6,000 ST buses to mobilize sarpanchs, presidents of taluka and zilla panchayats so that they can attend the sammelan. One nodal officer of panchayat department will be also deployed in each bus.
The BJP is in power in 33 district panchayats and over 216 taluka panchayats in the State. The chief minister, cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, the TDO,DDO of all the districts and talati are invited in the sammelan. DeshGujarat
