Gujarat govt spends Rs. 27.83 crore on maintenance of aircraft in two years

Gandhinagar: The state government has spent Rs 27.83 crore for the maintenance of aircrafts and Rs 6.83 crore for maintenance of helicopters within the last 2 years.
These aircrafts and helicopters are used by authorities such as the CM, governor, cabinet ministers and so on. The state civil aviation minister informed in reply to a question asked by an MLA in the state assembly about government owned aircrafts that the state government has spent Rs 13,31,32,600 in 2020 for maintenance, pilots and other staff of aircrafts. The state government spent Rs 14,07,55,903 in 2021 for the same.
Similarly, the state government spent Rs 3,36,88,620 in 2020 and Rs 3.47,47,521 in 2021 for the helicopters. The civil aviation minister informed that VT-Gujarat aircrafts are given to Airworks India engineering, Jet plane VT to GOG Indamer Aviation company and helicopter VT to Indocopters company at Ahmedabad for maintenance.
