Ahmedabad – Delhi express train journey shorter by 45 minutes

Ahmedabad: The travel time of Ahmedabad-Delhi Rajdhani Express and Ashram Express will reduce by 45 minutes from 1st April, due to the increase in their average speed.
After the speed of Rajdhani Express will be increased to 130 kmph from 110 kmph in the next phase, the travel time will further reduce and go below 12-hours. The travel time of Rajdhani Express to reach Delhi from Ahmedabad and vice versa was 13 hours with an average speed of 60 kmph.
The travel time is reduced following the hased elimination of railway crossings. an approximately 7 % increase in the average speed of the train had led to a 45-minute reduction in journey time, informed Ahmedabad DRM Tarun Jain. The train will leave Ahmedabad station at 6.30 pm instead of 5.45 pm and the returning train will reach Ahmedabad at 8.45 am instead of 9.30 am.
