ACB Gujarat nabs Sarpanch in Dang district in bribe case

The Dangs: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed sarpanch of Gadhiya village in Ahwa taluka in Dang in a bribe case of Rs 17,500.

The complainant had completed works of pawer block roads and gutter construction in Gadhvi village, for which the amount of bill was approved. The accused sarpanch Gautambhai Bhikhajibhai Gangude had demanded a bribe of Rs 17,500 from the complainant to sign the check of that amount.

The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused sarpanch was found accepting a bribe of Rs 17,500 from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. ACB has detained the accused sarpanch. DeshGujarat
