Gandhinagar: The users will now be able to show their driving licence to the traffic police by downloading it from Digilocker via WhatsApp.

The Ministry of Electronics & IT of the central government declared that the government has made Digilocker available on WhatsApp. By using this feature, the users will be able to download their documents such as driving licence and PAN card from Digilocker via WhatsApp.

To avail this service, the users will have to follow these steps:

1) The user will have to save the number +91 9013151515 in their mobile phone.

2) The user will have to open WhatsApp and then open the chat-box with the saved number.

3) The user has to then message ‘Namaste’, ‘Hi’ or ‘Digilocker’ in WhatsApp to the number.

4) The user will then get two options namely COWIN service and Digilocker service.

5) As the user selects Digilocker service, his Aadhar verification will be done and an OTP will be generated. 5) After verification, the user can check which documents are available in Digilocker.

6) He will get an OTP after entering the registered mobile number of the document.

7) After OTP verification, the user will get the document, which can be downloaded.
