GSRTC bus trip cancellation fraud; Police nab one more accused

The accused 11 agents nabbed by the police have allegedly received a refund of Rs 1,57,864 by cancelling 60 trips after departure of the buses from Surat depot. The trips were cancelled by stealing the username and password of the depot manager of Surat between 17th April to 12th May. The passengers who booked tickets online also received the refund after cancellation of trips despite traveling. Thus, GSRTC has to face a total loss of Rs 6,12,813.

The Surat Depot manager filed a complaint at the cyber crime police station in Surat. The cyber crime police had nabbed a conductor serving at Gondal depot and four agents of Gondal and Dahod. One more agent Sanjay Ramsubhai Baria (age 28, lives in Simada faliyu, Pansvada, Garbada taluka, Dahod), who allegedly got a refund of Rs 39 thousand.
