Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) will build an advanced library in Katargam in the city at a cost of Rs. 45 crore. The public construction committee of SMC approved the estimates for building an advanced library cum recreation center. The advanced library will also have a recreation center for kids. The advanced library and recreation center will have a children’s reading area, students’ reading area, a reading area with a slope garden, separate reading area, e-books and computer room, e-library, informal and senior citizen reading area, and so on. The fifth floor of the building will have box cricket court, badminton court, pickle ball court, table tennis court, and other facilities for indoor games such as carrom, chess, snooker, billiards, and so on.
