325 BJP leaders to participate in ‘Adivasi Gaurav Yatra’ between July 10 and July 13 in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: BJP state general secretary, Pradipsinh Vaghela, has informed that 325 BJP leaders will take out an ‘Adivasi Gaurav Yatra’ to strengthen the BJP’s chances of victory in 15 tribal dominated assembly seats in the belt between Umargam and Ambaji by creating awareness about the work done for tribals by the BJP-ruled government in the state.

Vaghela was speaking during a press briefing organized on the occasion of the state executive meeting which will get underway in Surat city today. The ‘Adivasi Gaurav Yatra’ will be held between July 10 and July 13, after the state executive meeting ends.

Jadeja disclosed that as many as 450 party workers had been working hard in order to ensure the comfort of over 1,000 delegates comprising senior party leaders, MLAs, ministers, office-bearers and the center’s representatives during the state executive meeting.

Highlighting the fact that while other political parties looked at the tribal population merely as vote bank, then chief minister Narendra Modi had started the ‘Adivasi Vanbandhu Yojana’. He had himself toured the tribal areas extensively along with the ‘Kanya Kelavni Rath’. Vaghela informed that as an evidence of BJP’s commitment to the tribal community, the party has sent as many as 5 tribals from various states to the Rajya Sabha.

NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, too, represents the tribal population and can be treated as evidence of the BJP’s commitment to the tribal society. Vaghela also informed that Murmu will be in Gujarat on July 13 to campaign for her presidential election and a big program has been organized at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia in her honor.
