CCTV cameras at public places, storage of 30-day footage to be required in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Installation of CCTV cameras and storage of 30 days footage shall be required in Gujarat at public places where over 1,000 persons have gathered and the places where movements of 1,000 persons take place in a day.
Gujarat government has taken a decision to implement the Gujarat Jaher Salamati (Pagala) Amlikar Adhyiniyam 0- 2022 with effect from 1st August 2022. The steps recommended by Public Safety Committee are required to be implemented within six months.
Police Sub Inspector of higher rank cops will be authorized to seek video footage of CCTV cameras. DeshGujarat
