Samras Kawad Yatra kicks off from Vadtal in Gujarat

Vadodara: Gujarat BJP president CR Patil remained present at the inauguration of Kawad Yatra held by Vadtal Swaminarayan Mandir.
Vadtal Swaminarayan Mandir has organised Samras Kawad Yatra, which includes the people and saints from all the sects. The devotees will carry Ganga Jal from Haridwar and perform abhishek with it at 202 shivalayas across the state. Over 2200 devotees will join the Kawad Yatra. The Kawad Yatra will cover shivalayas of 182 constituencies, 252 talukas and 33 districts. Total 437 saints will join the Kawad Yatra.
Total 345 saints including 148 from OBC communities, 27 from dalit and 54 from ST communities will join the yatra through luxury bus and 55 saints will join through railway. The Kawad Yatra is planned by Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samiti. The Ganga Jal Abhishek will be performed at the 202 shivalayas of the state on the day of Amas on 27th August. DeshGujarat
