Stray cattle catcher party staffers of civic body nabbed in bribe trap by Gujarat ACB

Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed animal catcher and driver of cattle party of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) in a bribe case of Rs 15 thousand.

The complainant and 4 others run a business of cattle keeping in Gandhinagar. The accused animal catcher Manojkumar alias Bablu Sanaji Thakor and driver Bunty Jayantibhai Vaghela demanded a bribe of Rs. 15 thousand, considering Rs 3 thousand per cattle keeper from the complainant and 4 others for not catching their cattle straying on roads and informing them in advance by call before coming to catch cattle via van.

The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused were found taking a bribe of Rs 15 thousand from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB. The accused are detained. DeshGujarat
