Half Marathon by Ahmedabad Police postponed amid security arrangements for PM’s visit

Amdavad: The half marathon, which to be held by Ahmedabad city police on 27th August for awareness against narcotics, has been postponed.
Ahmedabad police have postponed the half marathon held on 27th August due to PM Modi’s Gujarat visit on 27th August. The police officials made the decision for security arrangements for PM Modi and traffic management in the city. It’s worth noting that Prime Minister Modi is coming to Sabarmati Riverfront on same evening. The half marathon was also scheduled to take place at Sabarmati Riverfront.
The police officials informed us that the half marathon will be held after Ganesh Visarjan and the new dates will soon be declared. The police informed about the postponement via emails, to the runners, who made registration for the half marathon.
