SMC approves ₹85 lakh to set up 9 EV charging stations

Surat: The public construction committee of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has approved the estimates of Rs 85.15 lakh for installing 9 fast public electric vehicle charging stations in the city.
SMC has planned to make 50 fast public electric vehicle charging stations at various locations in the city. SMC will make charging stations at 9 locations in the Athwa zone at present. It includes 1) in front of Athwa Zone office, 2) Beside Chapati, 3) Behind Rahulraj mall 4) TP Scheme no 4 besides Satswati school 5) Besides Vesu Sai Kutir Society 6) Vesu Fire Station 7) Behind Vesu Rajhans Montesa 8) Behind Valentine Cinema 9) Besides Piplod Night Food Plaza.
