Amit Shah kicks off KRIBHCO bio ethanol project in Hazira

Surat: Union home minister and union cooperation minister Amit Shah, in the presence of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, laid the foundation stone of the bio-ethanol project of KRIBHCO (Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited) of Rs 350 crore in Hazira, Surat with a capacity of 2.50 lakh liter daily.

Union home minister and cooperation minister Amit Shah said that the savings of Rs 46000 crore were done in crude oil import due to ethanol mixing. He declared on this occasion that a multistate cooperative society will be built for the export of organic products and to encourage the cooperative sector.

The cooperation conference and foundation stone laying of the bio-ethanol project of KRIBHCO were held at Amrapali open theater in KRIBHCO township under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The corn will be purchased in large amounts from farmers due to the ethanol blending project which will open new ways of income for them, said Union home minister Amit Shah and added that the doors of economic wealth will open for farmers producing corn, sugarcane and rice. He added that the finance of the country will get a benefit of Rs 1 lakh crore till 2025 due to mixing ethanol in patrol.

CM Patel said on this occasion that the complementary animal feed of around Rs 36 thousand metric ton will be gotten annually after making ethanol in this project, which will fulfil the requirement of feed for cattle, fishes and poultry. The cooperative units of South Gujarat associated with sugarcane and sugar will benefit after the start of the plant in Hazira, he said.
