Stray cattle menace: VMC developing ‘Cattle Information System’ software
September 16, 2022
Vadodara: Struggling against the menace of stray cattle, Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has started the work of developing a software named ‘Cattle Information System’ to keep track of cattle owners.
The software will give information of cattle owners through a single click. The police won’t need to get information of cattle owners from VMC. The smart cameras installed across the city enable visualization of numbers 500 meters away. The police and VMC will be able to use the camera to find out the information of the stray cattle owners.
VMC will add Adhar-card number, mobile number and address of the cattle owners in the software on the basis of plastic tags on the cattle. The police will be able to see the number in a plastic tag on the stray cattle by zooming through the camera. The police will be able to get all the details of the cattle owner by the number on the plastic tag through software. VMC had started the work of installing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags along with plastic tags on the cattle in 2014. DeshGujarat
