Smriti Irani attacks Kejriwal and AAP in strong words at Gujarat BJP’s Hello Kamal Kranti convention

Ahmedabad: Union minister Smriti Irani today attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in strong words in her speech at the University convention hall today. She was addressing the Hello Kamal Shakti convention of Gujarat BJP women’s wing here.  She asked BJP women cadres to reach out to women by visiting every home.

Smriti attacked AAP over the insult of the Prime Minister’s mother. She said – “I noticed yesterday on the internet that AAP has tempered Hiraba’s picture. She is not in politics. Her son is Pradhan Sevak and that is not a sin committed by Baa. I want to ask the women here, should we tolerate the insult of Hiraba? They have come here with a broom!I want to ask Kejriwal, your leader dragged Hiraba into your dirty politics and insulted her? Ask the women of Gujarat, eent ka jawab maryada ke patthar se milega… We will respond to this by reaching out to every woman, every daughter of the State and deliver the message.”

Smriti said while Gujarat has given milk through Dudh Sanjeevani Yojana, the Kejriwal government has opened 850 liquor dens – ‘Pink theka’. Smriti said the Aam Aadmi Party has not come to win the election in Gujarat because it is well aware about what happened to them when Kejriwal contested election against Prime Minister Modi in Varanasi. While Gujarat has got metro and Vande Bharat train, the Govt in Delhi is doing corruption in the purchase of DTC buses.

Smriti said, Gujarat and Gujaratis are not going to forget that when Narmada Yojana was opposed, Kejriwal offered garland to those opposing Narmada Yojana. Dand is required to those who conspired to deprive the people of Gujarat without water.

She said there are 690 slums in Delhi and poor people there have not received water, though Kejriwal government has been there for the last 8 years. Those who want to see it should visit Sangam Vihar in Delhi and see for themselves whether there’s water or not. Narendrabhai has given water to 10 crore people and Kejriwal has not given water to even 600 slums.

“If such a political party wants to join you to them through money, then at least ask them, from where did they get this money?” Smriti asked.

Smriti said, “these people promise about giving schools. Three days ago Kejriwal had to run away from his own meeting. Why did he run away? He was asked a question that while he talks big in Gujarat, he should reply what money he has spent for schools in his own assembly seat. There was RTI reply that he had not spent any money for schools in his constituency. There was RTI query about how many schools he has visited, and the reply was that in the last 7 years he had not visited a single school.”
