Sarpanch trapped by ACB Gujarat in bribe case

Palanpur: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed the sarpanch of Vasan gram panchayat in Palanpur taluka of Banaskantha district in a bribe case of Rs 50 thousand.

The complainant had completed the works of underground gutter line and paver block in Vasan gram panchayat and he was supposed to receive the money from the gram panchayat for it. The accused sarpanch Hibjuraheman Mahammadhanif Dhukka demanded a bribe of Rs 50 thousand, considering a cut of 10 percent of the payment, to release payment.
The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 50 thousand during a trap executed by ACB. The accused is detained. DeshGujarat
